Corey Robinson, founder of Journey Real Estate, has been a Member of Giveback Homes for over 5 years. Corey and his real estate business have helped support affordable housing, disaster relief efforts and clean water initiatives. On Saturday, June 5th, 2021, Corey and his team helped make necessary repairs and upgrades to a home that has sat vacant in Oakland for 15 years. Corey partnered with Raully Jones Construction, to help donate and volunteer their time on the build site with Journey Real Estate.
Two single-family residences have been donated to Habitat for Humanity with the intention of creating long-term, affordable housing for local families. Deed restrictions will protect affordability for many years to come, so that these two homes will be enduring additions to our area’s sorely-needed affordable housing stock. With these two homes on Manila Avenue, Habitat East Bay/Silicon Valley will transform two houses that have sat vacant for over a decade, and make much-needed updates, repairs, and improvements.
The Journey Real Estate Team helped dig trenches for concreted driveway strips, paint, and install windows at our Oakland Rehab project. Thanks to their help, the home is one step closer to being move-in ready, allowing a deserving family in need to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.
“When I started Journey Real Estate, it was important to me that we focus on community and giving back. Through our partnership with Giveback Homes, we love being able to pour into various charitable causes and also get our hands dirty on build days like this project in Oakland.” – Corey Robinson
We are grateful to Corey Robinson, Raully Jones Construction and the entire Journey Real Estate team for donating their time and money to help make this project a success. Soon, a deserving family will be able to call it home.
